My friend, when you're above the law, when you are the law, the phrase about ends justifying means has a real meaning.
Put yourself in their place. If you felt that the state which you worshipped above your God was endangered by the life of one insignificant man, would you hesitate to have him shot? I can tell you that you wouldn't.
That's the danger of Fascism, of state-worship.
It supposes an absolute, an ego-centric unit. The idea of the state is not rooted in the masses, it is not of the people. It is an abstract, a God-idea, a psychic dung-hill raised to shore up an economic system that is no longer safe. When you're on the top of that sort of dung-hill, it doesn't matter whether the ends in reality are good or bad. The fact that they are your ends makes them good--for you.
Isn't that an apt phrase to describe today's radicalized Democrat Party and its sycophants in legacy media?
They are state-worshipers. Government can do no wrong, despite copious amounts of history, facts, logic, reason and common sense that would say otherwise.
Their religion is the state. And, for them, the ends always justify the means.”

When the longtime Massachusetts representative found himself last year facing -- for the first time in decades -- a surprisingly strong Republican challenge, journalists noticed something strange: He wasn't being as nasty as usual. He wasn't responding to questions with his trademark put-downs. He wasn't condescending to critics with quite as much sneering contempt.
When Barney says he doesn't like campaigning, what he really means is that he finds it too difficult to fake being a decent human being for a few months every couple of years.
Sean Bielat deserves a lot of credit for Frank's retirement. He ultimately bounced him out of office, just not the way he had hoped.

In the comments section on Facebook, I made a statement to the effect that I believe there have been more deaths associated with the #Occupy encampments than have been reported to, or by, law enforcement agencies. The very same goes for sexual assaults and other crimes.
And this is how the protesters go about preventing a negative opinion of their movement....
“From NBC Connecticut, word that police received an anonymous tip that there had been a sexual assault at the camp. When they located the victim in the camp, she told them that a man had “aggressively” kissed her neck and groped her breasts. But recall that it wasn’t the victim who called police:
When asked why no one from Occupy Hartford, including the victim reported the sex assault to police, they told officers they did not want to draw any negative attention to their cause.
The groper had fled the scene and police say they do not know if he was part of the camp or not. Obviously I don’t know either, but given their express concern for avoiding negative attention to the camp, there’s still a chance he was a member but people just aren’t saying.”
I get it now. A sexual deviant; a person who might attack, rape and murder any number of innocent American citizens is free to do so because some group of societal misfits doesn’t want to attract negative attention.

Police in Denton, Texas are investigating an untimely death at that cities occupy Denton protest encampment. Denton is about 40 miles north of Fort Worth.
This is the 8th known death at an occupy encampment.
In November a young man was found dead in his tent at Occupy Oklahoma City. Organizers referred to the homeless man as “Street Poet.” A woman at Occupy Vancouver was found dead in her tent a week later.
The Occupy protesters clashed with police and reporters when they came to investigate.
On Tuesday November 8 a protester was found dead in his tent at Occupy New Orleans. The 53 year-old man had been dead for two days.
An Occupy Bloomington protester was found dead in his tent in November.
A man was shot dead on November 10 at the Obama-endorsed Occupy Burlington squatters camp in Vermont. That death was believed to be a suicide.
Another Occupy protester was found dead in a tent on Friday November 11, the fifth dead tent protester.
Norris Devis Terrell, 21, was arrested this week by the U.S. Marshals Service at an apartment on Lakeshore Drive in Lexington, Kentucky.
Terrell was charged with the murder of 25-year-old Kayode Ola Foster at the Occupy Oakland Camp. (Kentucky.com)

That’s right! “The TEA Party will disappear as soon as the economy gets better, and the economy is getting better all the time”. That’s exactly what the fool said. In fact, he was quoted as saying the very same thing several times that week - back when the economy was BETTER than it is today.

Today we learned from the redoubtable Diana West that –
“US Military Ban on Bibles at Walter Reed [Was] Revealed (and Rescinded)”
Author West asked who advised “C.W. Callahan, chief of staff for Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, who set the September 14, 2011 guidelines prohibiting visitors to ‘wounded, ill, and injured partners in care’ from giving away or using Bibles in the hospital.”
Iowa Republican Representative Steve King had exposed (see p. H8072) and blasted the policy (see video) on the House floor just last
Thursday –
“Here’s Item F, and I’ll read it into the RECORD. ‘’No religious items, (i.e., Bibles, reading material and/or artifacts) are allowed to be given away or used during a visit.’’
Mr. Speaker, these military men and women who are recovering at Walter Reed and Bethesda have given their all for America. They’ve given their all for America, and they’ve defended and taken an oath to the Constitution, and here they are. The people that come to visit them can’t bring a religious artifact?
They can’t bring a Bible? They can’t use them in the services? A priest can’t walk in with the Eucharist and offer communion to a patient who might be on their deathbed because it’s prohibited in this memo from the Department of the Navy, the Commander of Walter Reed and signed, Mr. Speaker, in conclusion, by C.W. Callahan, Chief of Staff.”
But let’s stay with first principles in looking at this troubling affair.
Our Judaeo-Christian tradition is the heart of our culture.
And our culture of liberty and piety is what we are all about and have been about.
It is not surprising that the Obama Administration makes war on this heritage. It is profoundly disturbing that the House GOP leadership apparently ignores such assaults on our culture.
Only conservative Steve King of Iowa spoke out in the House.
The same Mr. King who was pushing a simple Obamacare repeal right after its passage in 2010, to the discomfiture of the then GOP (minority) leadership in that chamber.
The same Steve King whose vigilance about illegal immigration cost him a subcommittee chairmanship early in 2011 on the Judiciary Committee.
The Walter Reed kerfuffle over Bibles and allied reading material is hardly the first such incident.
Last July Michelle Lancaster in Big Government reported in her “Texas Congressman Goes Undercover at Houston National Cemetery,” how House member John Culbreson got the facts –
“The result?
Confirmation that the Director of the Houston National Cemetery is censoring freedom of speech and freedom of religion at the funerals of our veterans.”
Lancaster, the daughter of a veteran, writes –
“As you may remember, my previous article entitled God Bless Our Military … Just Not At The Houston National Cemetery , shared how the Houston National Cemetery Director, Ms. Arlene Ocasio, was requiring grieving families and volunteer groups to not use the words ‘God’ or ‘Jesus’ at any funeral ceremony without her prior approval. This has been a hot topic here in the Houston area, but Ms. Ocasio remains in her position as are her expressed requirements carried out by her employees to ensure prayers are more inclusive of other religions.”
The calendar of the House Veterans oversight panel does not appear to reflect any investigation into the Houston matter — which, of course, might be just the camel’s nose of this kind of anti-traditional-values activity into the Veterans Administration.
Maybe GOP sachems who are more comfortable with ‘grand budget bargains’ and other fiscal humbug can’t grasp the importance of stealth attacks throughout the Federal Establishment on our core values — nor the danger of related “nation building in Islam” adventures here and here that must mock the core values of many of our soldiers.
Some of their heavy-hitting colleagues should tell Speaker John Boehner and Majority Leader Eric Cantor that the now-rescinded Walter Reed policy is indeed the tip of yet another Obama Administration iceberg. The attempt merits significant public attention. Oversight hearings can bring in officials to tell us the key players who are orchestrating this anti-traditional-values line of attack from the Veterans Administration to the Defense Department.
Of course, readers may recall Angelo Codevilla’s warning last year in his “America’s Ruling Class — And the Perils of Revolution”
“The ruling class’s manifold efforts to discredit and drive worship of God out of public life — not even the Soviet Union arrested students for wearing crosses or praying, or reading the Bible on school property, as some U.S. localities have done in response to Supreme Court rulings — convinced many among the vast majority of Americans who believe and pray that today’s regime is hostile to the most important things of all.”
Professor Codevilla also suggests that our ruling class includes significant representation from the GOP.”
