Comedic Relief From Doug Ross

Fair Warning - Put Your Drink Down Before Reading

OccupyWallSt Poster Boy A Trust Fund Baby, Attempted Stowaway At JFK

Breitbart TV Is Making Them “Famous”

By Dell Hill
A investigation has uncovered that the man whose epic meltdown video at the "Occupy Wall Street" protests went viral is really Edward T. Hall III.  Mr. Hall is a Columbia graduate student who has a trust fund set up by his grandfather.  He recently made headlines for trying to board a flight at JFK airport by hopping the ticket counter and diving onto the baggage carousel.

He was charged with trespassing and is free on "conditional release."

Mr. Hall has insured his fame forevermore with this extremely well-publicized rant.

To think that in just a few short years Mr. Hall and his ilk will be running this country is enough to drive a maggot off a garbage scow.

Are Jews America’s Richest People?

The Facts Don’t Support The Anti-Semitism

By Dell Hill

By way of followup to our friend from L.A., who made the following statement:

Let’s take a closer look, just to see if she’s right.  Let’s find out who the top ten richest Americans are, according to Forbes Magazine.  It could be those dastardly “Zionist Jews” who are controlling the finances of America and, if it is, we need to deport them all immediately! seems as though Bill Gates is still the richest American with a net worth of $59 billion.  He’s an agnostic (agnostics believe in something; they’re just not sure what).

Warren Buffett - the president’s constant companion and supporter has $39 billion to his name and he’s an agnostic, too.

Larry Ellison is the Oracle braintrust, worth a cool $33 billion.  Larry is an atheist (atheists don’t believe in any deity).

Charles and David Koch, the Libertarian-turned-Republican brothers, are both Catholic.  They’re worth $25 billion each.

Christy Walton and her family are worth $24.5 billion each.  They’re reportedly Presbyterian, but it’s not known just how devout each of them is.

George Soros (Yes, he’s an American) checks in with $22 billion.  George was brought up in a Jewish family in Hungary, but hasn’t acted “very Jewish” since his teen years.  Soros is the bank behind Media Matters and all things “progressive, socialist, far left-wing, world order” movements, including Barack Obama’s re-election bankroll.

Sheldon Adelson holds down the number 9 position among America’s richest.  Adelson is the casino and hotel magnate and is Jewish.
Jim Walton is ranked tenth on the list with a fortune estimated at $21.1 billion, and he’s said to be Presbyterian, but that’s not certain.  One thing is for sure; he’s not Jewish.

Well, there you have it.  The top ten richest Americans, and - as you can plainly see - there’s just one person of declared Jewish faith on that list.  Hardly proof that Jews control the nation’s wealth.  In fact, the only other person on that list with any Jewish connection what-so-ever is the man who’s making it possible for the woman in the above video to make such foolish statements - George Schwartz Soros.

I am not so foolish as to believe that there aren’t rich Jews in America.  And I’m not suggesting that Jews do not control their fair share of finance related business enterprises.  Jews tend to be good money managers and tend to succeed in business where others fail.  They work hard and invest wisely.  I tend to think most are jealous of their success and financial lot in life, if, in fact they are successful.

Despite the fact that Jews tend to vote for Democrats - something I have a very hard time wrapping my head around, considering that redistribution of wealth could cost them everything they’ve worked so hard to earn - I don’t begrudge them their wealth, nor should you.  Jews pay their taxes, just as you and I, and no religion will defend itself more vigorously.

Despite our political differences, I consider Jews and Israelis to be close Allies of  America - not a people to be “run out of the United States”.

Editor’s Note:  This blog publisher is Catholic and has many Jewish friends - none of whom has ever threatened to behead me if I don’t convert to Judaism.

Vermont Still Trying To Recover From Irene

“I’m Vermont Tough” Being Put To The Test

By Dell Hill

One might think that this many weeks past the arrival of Tropical Storm Irene that everyone would be “cleaned up” and back in business.  Not so; not even close.

In fact, it may be many more months - and many millions of dollars - before parts of Vermont have been rebuilt and fully recovered.

This is a report today from WCAX TV in Burlington, Vermont showing how just one segment of one State highway is being rebuilt from scratch.  Click on the link and watch the video report.

To add salt to the wound, environmentalists are now getting in to the act.  Gravel and stone, which are needed to build a road’s base, comes primarily from rivers, and the environmentalists are going so far as to seek court orders preventing that stone from being removed - despite the fact that nearly all of it was deposited in a totally different location when the flooding occurred.

The section of highway featured in this report looked like this immediately after the worst of the flooding.  It used to be a paved, two-lane State highway.

US Navy SEALS Training Film Evolves To “Act Of Valor” Documentary

See Why Osama Bin Laden Never Stood A Chance

By Dell Hill

It’s called “Act Of Valor” and the movie itself - which is expected in theaters February 17th - is already being called by some “the greatest war movie ever”.

What started out as just a training video for United States Navy SEALS has evolved into a full length documentary.

The Navy liked the training video so much, they decided to make a feature, and hired screenwriter Kurt Johnstad (300) to create a fictional story about a squad that goes on a covert mission to recover a kidnapped CIA agent.

We often leave the theatre saying “Oh, that’s just a movie; it’s not the real thing”.  Not so with this film.  All of the military personnel in this film are active duty Navy SEALS, and the action scenes are typical of the types of military engagements the SEALS train for daily.  The villains however, are played by actors, including Emilio Rivera and Roselyn Sanchez.

Take a peek at the Theatrical Trailer....

With the success of SEAL Team 6, American movie-goers might just make “Act Of Valor” an extremely popular film.

Libyan Missiles Poised In Gaza

  Libyan Missiles Poised In Gaza

 How Long Will Israel Wait?

By Dell Hill

What an incredible surprise!

Remember those surface to air missiles that were missing from Libya?  You know, the 20,000 shoulder-fired missiles that have a two mile range?  You'll never guess where they've turned up.

Check out this report from ABC:
Some of the thousands of surface-to-air missiles that have gone missing since the collapse of the Gadhafi regime in Libya have now turned up just miles from the Israeli border.

U.S. officials say there were 20,000 Russian-made anti-aircraft missiles in Libya before the uprising, and thousands have disappeared in the looting of Moammar Gadhafi's arm caches.

According to the Washington Post, many of those Russian-made anti-aircraft weapons are being sold in Egyptian black markets, and so many are available the price has dropped from $10,000 to $4,000.

Egyptian officials told the paper they have intercepted looted Libyan weapons, including anti-aircraft guns, missiles and artillery, on the road from Libya into Egypt, in black markets on the Sinai Peninsula, and in the smuggling tunnels between the Sinai and Gaza.

Obama Deploys Military To Africa

Obama Deploys Military To Africa

Seeks Congressional Support For "Advisers"

By Dell Hill

Hat Tip - Michelle Malkin

Those wild and crazy kids occupying (insert anything here) aren't going to be thrilled to hear this news!

President Obama just announced he’s sending U.S. troops to central Africa to fight something called “the Lord’s Resistance Army.”
The letter to House GOP Speaker John Boehner:

October 14, 2011
Dear Mr. Speaker: (Dear Mr. President:)
For more than two decades, the Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA)
has murdered, raped, and kidnapped tens of thousands of men,
women, and children in central Africa.  The LRA continues to
commit atrocities across the Central African Republic, the
Democratic Republic of the Congo, and South Sudan that have a
disproportionate impact on regional security.

Since 2008, the United States has supported regional military efforts to pursue the LRA and protect local communities.  Even with some limited U.S. assistance, however, regional military efforts have thus far been unsuccessful in removing LRA leader Joseph Kony or his top commanders from the battlefield.

In the Lord’s Resistance Army Disarmament and Northern Uganda Recovery Act of 2009, Public Law 111-172, enacted May 24, 2010, the Congress also expressed support for increased, comprehensive U.S. efforts to help mitigate and eliminate the threat posed by the LRA to civilians and regional stability.
In furtherance of the Congress’s stated policy, I have authorized
a small number of combat-equipped U.S. forces to deploy to
central Africa to provide assistance to regional forces that are
working toward the removal of Joseph Kony from the battlefield.

I believe that deploying these U.S. Armed Forces furthers U.S.
national security interests and foreign policy and will be a
significant contribution toward counter-LRA efforts in central

On October 12, the initial team of U.S. military personnel with
appropriate combat equipment deployed to Uganda.  During the next month, additional forces will deploy, including a second combat-equipped team and associated headquarters, communications, and logistics personnel.

The total number of U.S. military personnel deploying for this mission is approximately 100.  These forces will act as advisors to partner forces that have the goal of removing from the battlefield Joseph Kony and other senior leadership of the LRA.  Our forces will provide information, advice, and assistance to select partner nation forces.  Subject to the approval of each respective host nation, elements of these U.S. forces will deploy into Uganda, South Sudan, the Central African Republic, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

The support provided by U.S. forces will enhance regional
efforts against the LRA.  However, although the U.S. forces are
combat-equipped, they will only be providing information, advice,
and assistance to partner nation forces, and they will not
themselves engage LRA forces unless necessary for self-defense.

All appropriate precautions have been taken to ensure the safety
of U.S. military personnel during their deployment.

I have directed this deployment, which is in the national
security and foreign policy interests of the United States, pursuant to my constitutional authority to conduct U.S. foreign relations and as Commander in Chief and Chief Executive.  I am making this report as part of my efforts to keep the Congress fully informed, consistent with the War Powers Resolution (Public Law 93-148).

I appreciate the support of the Congress in this action.

You Don't Love America If You Don't Support Obama

Oh, dang!  I guess I don't love my country.

By Dell Hill

You don't love your country because you don't agree with Barack Obama's socialist ideology.  So says Congresswoman Linda Sanchez (D-CA).

From The Blaze:

And that's today's lecture from Professor Sanchez - One of the dullest knives in the drawer, but the best California has to offer.  She repeats those Media Matters talking points almost perfectly, don't you think?

OWS Needs "Kent State Defining Moment"?

Are These TV Talking Heads All Brain Dead?

By Dell Hill

Hat Tip - JWF

MSNBC host Donny Deutch said that he is "repulsed" by the Tea Party, that he believes that we need a "Kent State Moment" so that Occupy Wall Street resonates with the American people.

It boggles the mind to think that anyone could come up with such an incredibly stupid analogy as the shootings at Kent State University as a necessary, or “defining moment” for the occupy (insert anything here) protest, but that exactly what you heard if you watched Morning Joe on PMSNBC.

Yes, he tries valiantly to discourage shootings and death, but what kind of analytical mind comes up with such foolishness; such shear stupidity in the first place?

For those of you too young to remember, on May 4, 1970, Ohio National Guard troops shot and killed four Kent State University students who were protesting the Vietnam war.  An incredibly tragic day in American history.

And this is the kind of thing the occupy protest needs?  I don’t think so.

Occupy Cost To Taxpayers Climbing Rapidly

Do We Send The Bill To George Soros?

By Dell Hill

How much would you guess the “occupy” protesters have cost the various cities around the country?  A couple of hundred thousand? Half a million?  More than that?

How about well over $6 Million....and counting?

Law enforcement overtime costs alone are - and continue to be - a staggering high percentage of what it will cost to babysit a few thousand malcontents.

Michelle Malkin’s latest posting will give you a general idea of the cost TO TAXPAYERS for this “picnic in the parks”.

“In New York City, government officials estimate the month-long siege of Zuccotti Park has now imposed $3.2 million in overtime police costs on the public. On Thursday, as Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s office pressured left-wing activists to vacate the park for cleaning, Occupy Wall Street urged sympathizers to flood the city’s customer services lines: “Call 311 and tell Bloomberg not to evict us!”

In Philadelphia, Mayor Michael Nutter told the press that demonstrators outside city hall have incurred $164,000 in overtime public employee costs and $237,000 in regular time. “At the current rate, if Occupy Philly continues to the end of the month, the city would spend another nearly $690,000 on police overtime alone,” the local NBC affiliate reported. “Besides the extra police presence being dedicated to the Occupy Philly protests, other city departments have also incurred costs.”

In Seattle, police have so far billed $30,000 in overtime and the parks department racked up nearly $4,000 in additional costs related to the protests there. Occupiers have blocked traffic, assaulted an officer, and pitched illegal tents. Merchants in the area have been hurt as the riff-raff deter customers. One business owner in Westlake Park, where hundreds of protesters remain camped out, told Seattle TV station KIRO: “There’s definitely fewer people you can identify as people out, just walking through the area.”

Seattle’s pushover mayor, Democrat Mike McGinn, now faces even greater demands from the insatiable mob – which wants a “guaranteed parking space near City Hall Plaza that allows for around-the-clock parking,” “24-hour access to the first floor of City Hall for restroom access, and a written statement from the mayor approving the protesters’ long-term occupancy of City Hall Plaza.”

In Boston, City Council President Steve Murphy anticipates a $2 million hit to taxpayers if the protests refuse to disband by the end of October. The local Fox affiliate notes the tab represents 8% of the yearly budget for police overtime. “While we’re all sympathetic with
our protesters down there,” Murphy said, “Wall Street isn’t picking up the tab on this thing. It’s the Boston taxpayers.”

Read the rest of Michelle Malkin’s syndicated piece by clicking right here.

Take note of the fact that this list only includes the really big cities; there are “occupy” protests going on all over the country and in each and every case, the cost will add up.

How long will the tax payers stand for this?

Quite frankly, I’m amazed they’ve let it go on this long.

California Schools Facing $1.7 Billion In Cuts

Fewer School Days In Store?

By Dell Hill

Hat Tip - Doug Ross

The folks in California are discovering that they have a problem with finances.

Tax revenues missed their projected goal by a scant $705 million dollars in the first quarter of the fiscal year and that means a built-in budget cut to California schools in the neighborhood of $1.7 Billion (Billion, with a “B”) dollars.

Here’s our report from SFGate, the home of the San Francisco Chronicle.

“Public schools in California, which already spend less per student than those in 28 states, are bracing for a $1.7 billion cut that may wipe out high-school sports and student busing, and trim the academic calendar by seven days next year.

Automatic cuts built into this year's budget, intended to protect bondholders if revenue falls short of projections, are drawing new attention after California fell $705 million behind estimates in the first quarter.

A shortfall of $1 billion will slash hundreds of millions of dollars from universities and care of the elderly and disabled. A deficit of $2 billion will trigger reductions to public schools, creating "a fiscal emergency" that could leave some districts insolvent, a group of superintendents told Governor Jerry Brown in a Sept. 15 letter.

"We're certainly really, really close to the first round of trigger cuts and inching closer to ours," said Debra Brown, lobbyist for the California School Boards Association, referring to the second round of cuts concentrated on schools. "It is a little troubling."

There’s more, and you can read it all by clicking right here.

A “..little troubling”?  Really?

Doug Ross@Journal points out a potential area where Californians might have saved a couple of education dollars.

As I’m sure you all know by now; Governor Moonbeam signed the California “Dream Act” legislation, which makes illegal aliens eligible for free or drastically reduced cost college educations.  And Doug wonders:

Even though illegal aliens cost the state's taxpayers at least $10.4 billion a year, Governor Brown wants to subsidize illegal behavior and encourage more of it. All while kids are forced to go without an ever-increasing number of school days.

Which leads to my definitive conclusion that Democrats are disorganized schizophrenics.

And painfully stupid to boot.

Well, there you have it.  A $1.7 billion dollar cut to schools on the one hand and a $10.4 billion dollars gift from the state’s tax payers to illegal immigrants on the other.

BOA Sponsors NASCAR Event For Over $5 Million!

BOA Sponsors NASCAR Event For Over $5 Million!

By Dell Hill

This week’s big event in auto racing is the “Bank of America 500” Sprint Cup Series race at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

For the past five years this race has had a posted purse of over $5 Million dollars.

The primary sponsor for every NASCAR event is responsible for a huge percentage of that posted purse.

If Bank of America has that kind of money to sponsor a major race on the NASCAR circuit, why do I now have to pay them $5 every month just to have a debit card?

Is Rubio’s Staff In Cahoots With Mitt To Stop Cain?

Did TEA Party Star Cut A Deal With Romney?

By Dell Hill

Just when you thought it might be safe to rejoice over the young, dynamic Conservative voices leading the TEA Party charge, something happens to throw cold water on the Republican party.  The most recent ten-gallon pail is the result of an investigation by Robert Stacy McCain - TheOtherMcCain - who filed this exclusive report on Thursday.

“When Florida defied Republican National Committee rules to move the state’s 2012 presidential primary from an RNC-approved March date to Jan. 31, conservatives immediately suspected that state party insiders had orchestrated the move to help former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney thwart the momentum of Tea Party-backed candidate Herman Cain. Some Florida activists focused their suspicion on moderates in state party leadership – allies of Senate candidate George LeMieux and of former Gov. Charlie Crist — as orchestrating the change in the primary date.  The move was seen as helping the centrist Romney, whose superior fund-raising resources would enable him to score an early knockout in the Sunshine State before Cain could fully leverage the boost he got from an upset victory in a Sept. 24 Florida GOP straw poll.

Yet while the moderate Republican faction in Tallahassee was immediately blamed for the primary date-switch, only insiders knew that a key factor was a push from inside the staff of the Tea Party’s own 2010 hero, Sen. Marco Rubio.  GOP sources in Washington and Florida say that Rubio’s senatorial chief of staff, Cesar Conda, has been a major force in persuading Florida Republicans to move their primary to January.”

As is usually the case, this story gets a little complicated, but if you read the rest of Stacy’s exclusive report, you’ll readily see why this move may NOT have been in Marco Rubio’s best political interests.

As of this writing, there’s no statement from the Rubio camp concerning this report.  However, if Marco Rubio doesn’t come up with a believable denial, several million TEA Party supporters - who strongly oppose Mitt Romney as just another RINO - will be extremely displeased.

Stay tuned for updates.

Sarah Palin Fans - Who Will She Support?

Sarah Palin Fans - Who Will She Support?

By Dell Hill

With her announcement that she will not be seeking the presidential nomination in 2012, Sarah Palin drifted off into the sunset, never to be seen nor heard from again.  NOT!

Mrs. Palin is still an extremely popular Conservative and will draw huge crowds wherever she goes.  Many were heartbroken with her announcement and her legions are numbered in the millions.  That’s an extraordinary amount of political clout.

So, who is Sarah Palin going to anoint with her endorsement as the Republican candidate and offer up a reason why.
