Texas Governor Rick Perry - smarting from a serious whipping at the polls in the Iowa caucus - pulled his Justin boots on, straightened his Stetson, squared his shoulders and is back in the race.
Dell’s Bottom Line:
My, that was a short visit to Texas to “re-asses” your campaign, governor.
I like Rick Perry. And yes, I criticized him on the “Gardisil issue”, but he corrected that mistake and never gets credit for doing so.
Perry SHOULD have been a viable and strong Republican candidate, but that just hasn’t happened. I guess this is one final shot - and it’s from the hip - to bring a very seriously wounded presidential campaign back to life.
If nothing more, it keeps his name in front of the big dogs for vice presidential consideration.
The man has ten times the credentials that Barack Obama had prior to his election as President, but Obama's "experience" is never questioned.
ReplyDeletePerry was commissioned in the Air Force, completed pilot training, and flew C-130 tactical airlift in the United States, the Middle East, and Europe until 1977. He left the Air Force with the rank of captain.
ReplyDeleteBarack Obama rides on Air Force One. A lot.
