When Obama Needed Your Vote Abortion Was “Above My Pay-Grade”
Apparently He Was Promoted
By Dell Hill
What
used to be “above my pay-grade” has now become one of the strongest
planks in the Obama administration’s agenda - abortion and
contraception. With the defeat of the anti-abortion proposal in
Mississippi in Tuesday’s referendum, the White House has expressed joy
with the defeat.
“JACKSON, Miss. (AP)
— White House officials are praising the defeat of an anti-abortion
proposal in Mississippi that would have defined life as beginning at
conception.
President
Barack Obama's spokesman said in a statement Wednesday that the vote
was a victory for women and families. Spokesman Jay Carney says the
president believes that extreme amendments like this would do real
damage to a woman's constitutional right to make her own health care
decisions, including some very personal decisions on contraception and
family planning.
Despite
the loss in Mississippi, abortion opponents say they'll pursue the
so-called personhood ballot initiative in six other states.
The
Mississippi proposal was intended to prompt a legal challenge to the
Supreme Court's landmark Roe v. Wade decision that established a legal
right to abortion.”
Isn’t it amazing how much this President has learned in three years time?
As
a candidate, Barack Obama dodged questions concerning his opinion and
the approach his administration would take regarding abortion and
contraceptives. He chuckled and said the answer to those questions was
“above my pay-grade”.
Since
that time, he’s done everything possible to support government financed
abortions and government subsidized contraceptives possible.
Mr. President, You Lied.
